Have you ever seen the tiktok tortilla (aka the tiktok wrap hack)? Probably one of the most genius ways to fold a tortilla wrap – ideal for your kid’s pack-up or a hot and tasty evening snack!
Once I’d seen a video of wrap hacking, I spent endless nights watching videos of people using everything from sushi to chicken nuggets in a wrap!
The wrap hack is now mega trending and is basically the smartest way to make a wrap. You make a cut from the middle of the tortilla down to one edge, fill the different quadrants with fillings, then fold it all up into a neat quadrant that can be eaten as is or grilled. No more exploding rolled wraps! All your fillings stay inside the wrap and it’s super easy and just neat to eat.
I especially love that the combinations are infinite! Anything goes. Think: breakfast, healthy vegetables, sweet stuff. For my very first wrap hack I made a smoked pulled pork supreme: super savory juicy pulled pork, melted cheese, crispy mixed mexican slaw, sour cream, finished off with a crushed tortilla topping, all wrapped up and grilled to perfection. Melt in the mouth……. Here’s how to do it!
Lay your tortilla out on a cutting board. Take a knife and make a cut from the middle of the tortilla down to the edge.
Divide the tortilla up into four quadrants or quarters in your mind’s eye! Place a different ingredient into each quadrant. Make sure when using cheese that it is in the last quadrant if you want a melted cheesy flap!
Fold the wrap up, starting from the bottom left quarter, folding it up over the top left, then folding it over to the top right, then folding it down to the bottom right.
Enjoy cold or toast in a panini press or pan. Great for a kid’s pack up or for a picnic treat. Or cosy up on the sofa for a midnight feast!
